Primary Care experienced Nurse Practitioner – BOSTON AREA
  • Internal Medicine practice seeking full-time Internal Medicine Adult Nurse Practitioner to join IM office.
  • Will also consider a Family Practice NP with adolescent experience seeing patients 15 years old through adult.
  • Candidate should have at least 2-3 years NP work experience.
  • MA license a strong plus.
  • 100% outpatient opportunity.
  • Office comprised of 1 IM physician and 2 other NPs.
  • Candidate should be the graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; previous Nurse Practitioner experience in a Physician office setting preferred.
  • Masters Degree from a college or university program preparing nurses as Nurse Practitioners.
  • Candidate should also have the following qualifications: BCLS certification. Authorization from the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in the expanded role. Current certification as a NP from the American Nurses Credential Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Current US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) controlled substance registration number from the Department of Public Health.
  • Provider will be responsible for managing patients including health assessment, diagnoses, ordering and interpreting lab results, ordering therapeutics, ordering and/or writing prescriptions.
  • Patients include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • In the direct role as the health care provider, he/she assesses, diagnoses, plans, intervenes, and evaluates client care in collaboration with the Practice Physician(s).
  • In the indirect role as a member of the health care team, he/she is responsible for participating in the education of other health care providers, quality assurance/improvement and peer review.
  • Typical schedule is day-time office hours.
