Two board certified/eligible Gastroenterologists are needed to join GI Dept in Mayo Health System facility.

  • Vacancy due to increased volume.
  • Department currently includes 2 B/C GI’s and Nurse Practitioner.
  • Practice requires general GI w/ broad procedural skills. An interest in ERCP is welcome.
  • Night and w/e call shared equally among all GI physicians (1:4 or better).
  • Referrals primarily come from within the health system (a MSG comprised of 200+ physician/associate providers.) Patient referrals also come from non-affiliated providers within a 60 mile radius.
  • Service area 240,000.
  • For those interested in teaching, candidate will also have opportunity to be involved with Family Medicine Residency Program.
  • The GI Clinic and Endocscopy unit are located in the main medical facility which as 250 beds, ER and Trauma, 16 bed surgical ICU/CCU, cardiac cath lab, Renal Dialysis and brand new center for advance medicine and surgery completed in 2004.
  • Candidate will be employed and will initially receive competitive starting salary guarantee - negotiable. After initial 12-18 month period, subsequent salary levels are calculated through productivity incentives. Productivity is measured by professional RVU’s.
  • Benefits provided by employer include: malpractice, health, dental, STD and LTD, Life, AD&D. Vacation ranges from 4-6 weeks per year. All physicians receive an additional 2 weeks of CME and $4500 CME fund. Also provided are state medical license fees, $3000 for board exam expenses, relocation, 100% employer paid and funded pension, several tax-deferred savings plan and deferred compensation plan.
