Pulmonology / Critical Care - NC

PULMONOLOGIST CRITICAL CARE PHYSICIAN - NORTH CAROLINA NOT FAR FROM ASHEVILLE. GROUP EXPANDING.
  • Seeking additional Pulmonology physician. Expect a mix of inpatient and outpatient duties.
  • Medium size Pulmonology group.
  • All Pulmos in group do Critical Care. One Pulmo is doing sleep.
  • Sleep available but not required.
  • You will be very busy seeking high acuity patients with multiple pulmonary issues.
  • Candidate can expect 70% Inpatient / ICU and 30% outpatient clinic.
  • Group will consider BE, BC, new grads, or experienced physicians.
  • Typical schedule: 2 weeks in the clinic Monday - Thursday; 1 week in ICU; 1 week off; then schedule starts over again.
  • EXCELLENT CALL SCHEDULE!
  • One large , state of the art Hospital. ICU average patient census 5-7 patients. Patient type ranges from Cardiac (MI/CHF, etc) to Medical (Hypertension, Sepsis, GI bleeds, DKA, etc) to Stroke to Respiratory. ICU also handles post-op surgery patients that remain on the vent.
  • Desirable salary plus bonus. Full benefits.

  • Shared secondary call (very limited), only if Hospitalists needs help.

  • Pulmonology + Critical Care required.
  • You will work in two offices- well established offices (18 years.) Offices located approx. 7 miles apart.
  • 2 physicians in this particular office.
  • Full service practice includes the only Pediatric Pulmonologist in the region, Interventional Pulmo, and Hospitalists.
  • Most of physicians in group are AOA and/or former University Faculty members.
  • Broad referral base - they have 8 strategically placed offices.
  • Largest accredited sleep center network in the Southeast with 25+ beds / 10 centers.
  • New physician practice in one hospital
  • Full service facility including: ER, breast health, imaging, orthopedic, surgical, rehab, spine center, women's health, etc. Accreditations and Certifications include: Joint Commission, Chest Pain, Primary Stroke, ACR Radiology/Imaging (CT lung screen, mammography CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear, and echocardiography.)
  • Group members serve as medical directors in hospital(s).
  • Group houses the region's only Advanced Interventional Bronchoscopy program including Super-dimension Bronchoscopic Navigation developed and directed by one of group members.
  • Outstanding practice management and support including EMR. Supportive, collegial, family-oriented, lifestyle-oriented group.
  • Partner salary 500-600k range. Partnership in one year. (Latest hire was made partner after one year.
  • Shared call rotation.
  • Physicians in this group have a wonderful family lifestyle (several physicians have large families: 9 children, 4 children, etc.) They enjoy water-based recreations, have boats, travel, etc.
